- Always display a contact phone number on your new website. Even with great content, some visitors may have a few questions they will want to ask before buying your product or signing up for your service. With that being said, display a toll free number that can only be found on your site. When you receive your phone bill at the end of each month, you will easily be able to see how many people called you because they visited your website.
- Create short contact forms on interior pages of your new website. A contact form should gather the users product interest, name, phone number and or email address. You do not want to intimidate site visitors by asking for too much information. Gather only the basic information needed. When you do receive the information, contact them as soon as possible. You just received a potentially hot lead and you do not want them to lose interest or worse, visit a competitor’s site and buy from them.
- Create a “thank you” page when a customer completes a sign up or checkout process. A “thank you” page can give you very valuable information while providing a better experience to your customers. It gives the user the assurance the process has been completed and there are no other steps they need to take to finish the transaction. It also provides you with an accurate count of the number of transactions completed on your site.
- The only way a “thank you” page can be seen is by completing a transaction. Sweet Spot Marketing® will install free website analytics code to your site. This information will allow you to manage your advertising spend by eliminating budget dollars where no return is seen.
